While most of the Huawei device require bootloader to be unlocked in order to root or install custom recovery but if you have Huawei Y6 then feel relax, I have come up with a great tutorial that allows you to Root Huawei Y6 easily by just installing universal KingoRoot App, a very popular Android App capable to root many other devices.

Benefits of rooting

  • With the help of root access, one can remove those apps which are pre-installed by your network provider or by manufacturer.
  • Because of rooting you can also get the free storage space, rooted apps are available for efficient memory management.
  • After rooting user can also update their phone to the latest version of Android (by flashing a custom recovery/ROM).
  • It provides customization options when you use your new administrative rights to flash a custom ROM (again, see the end of this procedure for more info on that).
  • Rooting also increases the battery life of the Smartphone because those running constantly can be removed).

Things to Remember

  1. Rooting voids device’s warranty. Do follow the steps mentioned at your own risk, we are not liable if something goes wrong during the process.

  2. Make sure that Unknown sources is enabled.
  3. Go to the folder where you have kept the file in your device.
  4. When the app’s installed, open it.
  5. Tap on Allow when prompted to allow the app to use SU permissions.
  6. Tap on the big blue Android button in the center of the app screen to start the replacement process.
  7. It should not take too long to replace the KingUser with SuperSU.
